CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES CONTINUE AROUND THE AREA THIS WEEKEND
Christmas activities around the area continue later on today (Saturday).
The Christmas Stroll in Downtown Brenham got underway last (Friday) night with “Cool Nights, Holiday Tunes.”
The Nite Moves Band performed songs from a variety of genres and artists including the Eagles, the Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, and Restless Heart, as well as several Christmas favorites.
The second day of the Jingle Bell Market at the Ant Street Inn runs from 10am-7pm.
Local Girls Scouts and Carolers will perform at 5pm on the steps of the Brenham Heritage Museum.
The Lighted Parade will begin at 6pm. KWHI will have live coverage.
Children can later visit Santa Claus in Alamo Alley after the Parade.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Brenham will have a live nativity display tonight from 6-9pm.
The 43rd Annual Small Town Christmas in Bellville kicked off last (Friday) night with the lighted parade. Today (Saturday), they have holiday shopping, music and entertainment on the Austin County Courthouse Square and under the Jim Bishop Pavilion.
Round Top’s Christmas fun begins at 10am with holiday shopping, followed by the Historical Homes Tour from 11am-5pm.
Festivities on the town square begin at 3pm with musical entertainment, visits with Santa, and food and drinks.
Blinn College’s “Sounds of the Season” concert will be performed at 3pm at the Festival Hill Concert Hall.
The parade float judging starts at 6pm, with the lighted parade at 6:45pm.
The Sealy Fantasy of Lights Parade begins tonight at 6pm.
Coming up tomorrow (Sunday), the 41st is being held from 11am-4pm at the Carmine Hall. Santa and Mrs. Claus are going to make an appearance, and there will be Polar Express train rides for the kids. Visitors can also enjoy shopping at vendors, along with a music presentation at 1:30pm by the Round Top-Carmine Elementary School students.
