BURTON PANTHER BASKETBALL CRUSHES NORTH ZULCH 78-30

The Burton Panther Basketball Team took care of business last (Tuesday) night with a 78-30 victory over North Zulch.

Burton had a big first quarter to start the game by outscoring North Zulch 27-6. They would add to it with a 16-7 second quarter, which gave the Panthers a 43-13 lead at halftime.

The third quarter was the closest with Burton only winning it by three points 18-15. However, the Panthers responded by blowing North Zulch out in the fourth quarter 17-2.

Kayden Patterson led Burton with 27 points, nine steals, and six assists. Yobani Brewer added 15 points and ten rebounds. Eli Simank scored eight points, and had five rebounds. Aaron Buchanan chipped in with eight points as well.

Next up, the Panthers (4-2) will be taking part in the Snook Tournament , which runs Thursday-Saturday.

They will open the tournament on Thursday by playing Round Top-Carmine at 1:30pm. On Friday, they are going to face Geneva School at 10am, and the College Station JV at 1:45pm.

Their game on Saturday will be determined by the record in the first three games of the tournament.
