Faith Mission Executive Director Reverend Randy Wells says the Red Kettle campaign is halfway to its financial goal of $30,000.

Additionally, several two-hour time slots are still open for volunteers to ring the bell at the entrances to Walmart and Hobby Lobby in Brenham.

According to Rev. Wells, Washington County is one of the few counties whose bell ringers are all volunteers.

All donations stay in Washington County and are administered by Faith Mission, the local service unit for the Salvation Army, to support local residents in need.
