BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR DISCHARGING FIREARM, INDECENT EXPOSURE

  

Brenham police arrested three people over the weekend, including one for deadly conduct after a report of shots fired.

Approaching 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Officer LeDarion Jenkins was dispatched to the 600 block of Campbell Street in reference to multiple gunshots being fired in the area.  Police say their investigation revealed that an individual was shooting his firearm within city limits.  21-year-old Jose Guadalupe Mendez Sanchez of Brenham was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm.

On Friday, just past 10 a.m., Officer Navone Gurley and Officer Ramon Torres were dispatched to a mental subject call in the 300 block of Leghorn Street.  After investigation, police arrested 58-year-old Guadalupe Garcia Jr. of Brenham for Indecent Exposure and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams.  Garcia was taken to the Washington County Jail.

Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, K9 Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 4000 block of Highway 290 East.  The passenger, 20-year-old Skylar Aversa of San Antonio, was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
