BURTON BASKETBALL FALLS TO SNOOK IN BLUE JAY TOURNAMENT FINALE

After going undefeated through pool play, the Burton Panthers faced off with their district foes, the Snook Blue Jays, in the Championship Finals of the Snook Blue Jay Tournament on Saturday.

It was a close game, but ultimately, the Blue Jays prevailed 42-37. Ke'Treen Carter led Snook with 14 points, while John Carr and Jimmy Kearney had 11 points each.

Kayden Patterson led the Panthers with 15 points, while Yobani Brewer added 13 points.

With the win, Snook improves to 12-2 on the season, and Burton drops to 7-3.

Both teams are back in action tomorrow (Tuesday). Burton will host Giddings Lonestar at 6pm, and Snook faces Granger at 6:15pm.
