BRENHAM AND BURTON STAYING PUT AS UIL RELEASES CONFERENCE CUTOFF NUMBERS
As they get ready for their realignment, which occurs every two years, the University Interscholastic League has released their conference cutoff numbers for each of the six classifications.
Schools are placed in their respective classifications based on the student enrollment number that they submitted on Snapshot Day back in October.
Brenham submitted an enrollment number of 1,521 students. They will remain in Class 5A, which goes from 1,305 students to 2,214 students. For football, the Cubs are going to stay in Class 5A Division II, whose enrollment totals are 1,305 to 1,829 students.
Burton submitted an enrollment number of 158 students. They will remain in Class 2A, which goes from 105 to 245 students. For football, the Panthers are going to stay in Class 2A Division II, whose enrollment totals are 105 to 175.5 students.
CLASS 6A - 2,215 and above
CLASS 5A - 1,305 to 2,214
CLASS 4A - 550 to 1,304
CLASS 3A - 246 to 549
CLASS 2A - 105 to 245
CLASS A - 104.9 and below
For football:
CLASS 5A DIVISION I -1,830 to 2,214
CLASS 5A DIVISION II - 1,305 to 1,829
CLASS 4A DIVISION I - 896 to 1,304
CLASS 4A DIVISION II - 550 to 895
CLASS 3A DIVISION I - 367 to 549
CLASS 3A DIVISION II - 246 to 366.9
CLASS 2A DIVISION I - 175.6 to 245.9
CLASS 2A DIVISION II - 105 to 175.5
CLASS A DIVISION I - 57.6 to 104.9
CLASS A DIVISION II - 57.5 and below
The realigned districts will be revealed in February.
