LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL DEFEATS A&M CONSOLIDATED FRESHMEN 55-23
The Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team picked up their third straight win as they knocked off the A&M Consolidated Freshmen Team 55-23 last (Tuesday) night.
Burton got off to another fast start by outscoring the Lady Tigers 23-6 in the first quarter. Harper Hodde scored ten of her game high 18 points during that opening period.
In the second quarter, the Lady Panthers continued to dominate by scoring 14 points to just four for the A&M Consolidated Freshmen. That gave Burton a 37-10 lead at halftime.
The Lady Panthers controlled the entire second half as well outscoring the Lady Tigers 18-13 to get the win.

Autumn Applewhite - 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals
Mya Rodriguez - 2 points, 1 rebound, 4 steals, 3 assists
Isabella Young - 4 rebounds, 3 steals
Peyton Schubert - 1 rebound, 2 assists
With the win, Burton is now 18-4 on the season. Next up, the Lady Panthers will open up district play this Friday against the Snook Lady Blue Jays.
The opening tipoff has been moved up at 2:30pm at Snook High School. It is also going to be their last game before the holiday break.
