Coming off of a loss to Snook in the finals of the Blue Jay Tournament, the Burton Panther Basketball Team got a bounce back win over the Giddings Lonestar Southeast Mustangs 62-42 last (Tuesday) night at the Burton High School Gym.

The Panthers jumped out to an early 20-6 lead in the first quarter. The Mustangs actually outscored Burton 14-13 in the second quarter. The Panthers still led 33-20 at halftime.

Burton came back to win the third quarter 9-8, and the fourth quarter 20-14 to secure the win.

Eli Simank led the way with 19 points, Kayden Patterson finished with 18 points, and Jason Gonzalez added 15 points.

The Panthers are now off for the holiday break. They are going to return to action on December 30 for a road game at Fayetteville.
