WASHINGTON COUNTY CARES RAISES OVER $16,000 FOR LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
Washington County Cares, a local group dedicated to supporting and promoting local organizations, is proud to announce the success of their 2025 fundraising efforts.
According to Washington County Cares Spokesman Ron Werchan, the group raised $16,614, all of which will be reinvested into Washington County.
The funds raised in 2025 were distributed to the following organizations: Bread Partners of Washington County, Brenham Next, the Brenham Pregnancy Center, the Brenham Heritage Museum, the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center, the Brenham Shrine Club, Faith Mission, Miracle Farms, Unity Theatre, Gather N Grace, Texas Ramp Project, and Our Daughters House.
They also provided two scholarships to Brenham High School students.






Washington County Cares meets at noon on Thursdays at the Cannery Kitchen, with each meeting featuring a guest speaker.
These gatherings are open to anyone interested, and everyone is encouraged to attend and learn more about the group’s mission and activities.
Their mission statement is to do everything in their power to support and promote Washington County organizations that embody their faith-based core values.
