BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS FOR TWO ACCIDENTS THURSDAY
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Thursday and once early this (Friday) morning.
Around 8:45 a.m. Thursday, the department was dispatched for a transportation incident at FM 332 and FM 389. Units arrived at the location to find a two-vehicle accident. Both vehicles were moved to a parking lot, and the department returned to service. EMS was called, but no word was given on any injuries.
Approaching 12:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a dog locked inside a vehicle in the 2100 block of South Market Street. They found the dog was not in distress and notified the owner of the vehicle.
Close to 1:45 p.m., BFD members went out to a transportation incident at South Market Street and Pecan Street. They found a three-vehicle accident with no fluids leaking. Once the vehicles were removed from the roadway, the department cleared the call. While EMS responded, the fire department did not have information on any potential injuries.
At 4:45 a.m. today, units responded to a home in the 2500 block of Old Chappell Hill Road for a report of a smoke smell in the area. Upon arrival and after speaking with the homeowner, they could not find any source of the smell, so they cleared the call.
