BRENHAM FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND MONDAY FOR ACCIDENT, GAS ODOR

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Monday.

Shortly after 11 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to First United Methodist Church, 408 North Baylor Street, for a gas odor.  They found a kitchen appliance was not working correctly and turned the gas off to the appliance until it could be checked out.

At 11:30 p.m., units were called out to a crash in the 700 block of Old Navasota Road.  The department discovered a single vehicle on its passenger side with no one in the vehicle.  BFD members checked the area and found no one, so they returned to service.
