BRENHAM FD CALLED OUT TUESDAY FOR STRUCTURE FIRE, ACCIDENTS
The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls on Tuesday.
Around 3:45 p.m., units went out to a crash in the 600 block of West Alamo Street. They found two vehicles off the roadway with no injuries and removed debris from the roadway before returning to service.
Shortly after 6 p.m., members of the Brenham Fire Department and the Salem, Meyersville and Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to a structure fire at a home in the 1200 block of Spring Creek Road. The fire was already out, prior to all units making location. Crews checked for extension into the attic and found nothing. They then ventilated the house.
A few minutes after 8:15 p.m., BFD members received a report of a fire alarm at the Mill Creek Residence Hall, 1192 Old Mill Creek Road. They found a water heater pipe had busted, causing water to go into the smoke detector and set the alarm off. Building maintenance was called.
Around 11:30 p.m., the department responded to a crash in the 2200 block of South Market Street. Units found a motorcycle laying on its side in the grass and proceeded to help upright the bike and provide traffic control.
