BRENHAM PD BOOKINGS INCLUDE ONE ARRESTED AFTER PURSUIT, PLUS OTHERS CHARGED WITH THEFT, ASSAULT

  

The Brenham Police Department had a busy holiday, reporting multiple arrests between Tuesday and Thursday.

Angel Miguel Mesa

Close to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Corporal James Catchings was dispatched to the 800 block of Highway 290 East in reference to a theft in progress.  Police say their investigation revealed that a suspect stole several items from two stores.  58-year-old Angel Miguel Mesa of Houston was taken into custody for two counts of Theft of Property $750 - $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.  Mesa was booked into the Washington County Jail without incident.

Around 5 p.m., Officer NaVone Gurley and Officer Gabriel Duran responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of West Second Street.  After investigation, 31-year-old Zachary Dwayne Thomas of Brenham was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.

Shortly after 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Officer Ramon Torres was dispatched to a complaint call in the 400 block of Highway 290 West.  18-year-old Creighton Alexander Scott Hillgartner of Brenham was taken to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams, and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.

Approaching 11:30 p.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson observed two vehicles in the 2000 block of South Day Street that were reported to be driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed.  Sgt. Anderson initiated a traffic stop on both vehicles, with one vehicle fleeing and the other vehicle stopping in the 1700 block of South Day Street.  Police claim that the driver, 30-year-old Xavier Taylor of Brenham, then fled from the vehicle on foot and was later located inside a business, hiding from officers.  Police say the owner of the business did not wish to press charges at this time.  Taylor also reportedly displayed signs of intoxication, and after further testing, he was placed into custody for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced, Reckless Driving, Evading Arrest/Detention with Previous Conviction and Driving While Intoxicated 2nd.

Approaching 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Officer Eric Crosby was dispatched to the 600 block of Matilda Street in reference to a disturbance.  Upon completion of the investigation, 33-year-old Ramsey Randall of Brenham was placed into custody for Assault of a Family/Household Member Impeding Breath/Circulation and taken to the Washington County Jail.

Close to the same time, Sergeant Anderson and Sergeant Jose Perez were dispatched to a disturbance located in the 500 block of Limit Street.  23-year-old Gerson Rivera of Brenham was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Around 9:45 p.m., Officer Crosby was dispatched to the 1900 block of Northview Circle Drive in reference to a disturbance.  After investigation, 20-year-old Breanna Ward of Brenham and 22-year-old Delvin Ward of Brenham were each placed into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and booked at the Washington County Jail.
