WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO HOLD FINAL MEETING OF 2025

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court is scheduled to hold their final meeting of 2025 this coming Tuesday.

The Commissioners will be giving special recognition and honoring K-9 Officer Aspen. Aspen is a drug dog that works out of the Washington County Precinct Four Constable’s Office. He has been with the county for six years.

A couple of personnel decisions are also on the agenda. One of the items is the appointment of a Chief of Staff per the selection committee’s recommendation.

The other item is whether or not to transfer the Payroll and Benefits Specialist Position from the County Treasurer’s Department to the Human Resources Department for the 2026 Fiscal Year.

Also on the agenda, the Commissioners will discuss granting County Auditor Shawna Hollis the authorization to make budget amendments and line-item transfers to close out the Fiscal Year 2025 for Washington County.

In addition to that, County Engineer Wesley Stolz is scheduled to present the quarterly report for the Engineering and Development Services Department.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
