BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS ON AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WARRANT, MARIJUANA POSSESSION

  

The Brenham Police Department arrested three people over the weekend, including one for an aggravated assault warrant and two for marijuana possession.

At 10:15 a.m. Friday, Officer LeDarion Jenkins conducted a warrant service in the 3500 block of Highway 36 South.  22-year-old Jetta Rhaye Shows of Brenham was located and placed into custody without incident.  Shows was transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked on her warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

At 5 p.m., Officer Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.  Police say their investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of marijuana and a firearm.  38-year-old Ashton Henry Edward Bennett of Brenham was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, Officer Rosa Salinas initiated a traffic stop near the 2100 block of Highway 290 West.  The passenger, 31-year-old Javier Aguilera of Baytown, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
