CITY OF BRENHAM RECEIVES ‘SUPERIOR’ RATING FROM TCEQ WATER REPORT
The City of Brenham has announced that its public water supply system has once again received a “Superior” rating.
According to the city, the rating comes after a compliance investigation conducted last month by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The inspection evaluated compliance with all applicable state requirements for public water systems. No violations were identified.
Mayor Atwood Kenjura says the rating “reflects the dedication and professionalism of our staff and their commitment to providing safe and reliable drinking water to our residents.”
TCEQ regulates the City of Brenham’s water system under Regulated Entity No. 101386662 and Public Water System (PWS) ID No. 2390001.
The city says the rating “indicates strong operational performance, regulatory compliance, and ongoing stewardship of water resources.” It adds, “Maintaining this standard requires continuous monitoring, training, and investment in infrastructure to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.”
