SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS MAN FOR DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, UNLAWFUL WEAPON POSSESSION
A Magnolia man was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday on weapon and drug paraphernalia possession charges.
Shortly after 10:15 p.m., Lieutenant Jesus Montes initiated a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West for no front license plate. Upon initial contact, the sheriff’s office reported detecting an odor of marijuana, so it conducted a search of the vehicle.
53-year-old Altonia Jermaine Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
