WASHINGTON CO. YOUTH HISTORY PROGRAMS TO BE FEATURED ON ‘THE SOUND OF TEXAS’

Youth history programs in Washington County will be the topic of discussion in tomorrow’s (Tuesday) edition of “The Sound of Texas” with Tumbleweed Smith.
Tom Stevens of the Washington County Historical Commission will talk about programs including History in the Classroom, where students hear first-person accounts of notable events in Texas history, and history camps where students travel to local and area historic sites.
The Sound of Texas can be heard every Monday through Saturday around 7:20 a.m. on AM 1280, FM 101.7 and kwhi.com.
