CUB BASKETBALL DROPS DISTRICT GAME TO HUNTSVILLE 60-47

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team dropped their second straight district game last (Tuesday) night on the road in Huntsville.

They played a back and forth first quarter with Huntsville winning by one point, 14-13. However, the Hornets pulled away from the Cubs with a 16-7 second quarter. That gave Huntsville a 10-point halftime lead, 30-20.

The Hornets also won the third quarter 14-11 to increase their advantage to 44-31. The two teams played to a 16-16 draw in the fourth quarter.

Chris Guidry led the Cubs with 15 points in the game, while Jayden Hebert added 11 points.

The loss drops Brenham to 14-9 overall and 0-2 in district.

Next up, they will host A&M Consolidated on Friday night at the Brenham High School Gym.

The opening tip-off is scheduled for 6:30pm with a 6:15pm pregame on KWHI 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.
