BLUEBONNET SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR GOV’T YOUTH TOUR, COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative is encouraging area high school students to sign up for an educational trip to Washington, D.C. and to apply for college scholarships.
The Government-in-Action Youth Tour will take two junior or senior students from Bluebonnet’s service area on an all-expense-paid trip to the nation’s capital from June 14-22. Those selected for the tour will also receive $1,000 scholarships.
Meanwhile, the Scholarships of Excellence program will present $2,500 scholarships to eligible graduating students who are pursuing higher education, whether it be a bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or trade or technical certificate.
Applicants must reside in the home or a parent or legal guardian who is a current Bluebonnet member with an active account and whose primary residence is within Bluebonnet’s service territory.
The deadline to apply for the Government-in-Action Youth Tour is Friday, January 16th. Scholarship applications must be submitted by Friday, March 6th.
