Orders are now being taken for the AgriLife Extension Service’s annual Spring Tomato and Pepper Plant Sale in Washington County.

Fourteen varieties of small, medium and large tomatoes are available, in addition to five different types of peppers, three types of jalapeño peppers, two kinds of squash, eggplant, four varieties of herbs, and three varieties of cucumbers.

Plants can be purchased for $2.50 per four-pack.  Orders must be paid for in full when they are placed.

Proceeds from the sale support the AgriLife Extension Horticulture Committee’s Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to local graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in an agriculture-related field.

Plants can be picked up on Wednesday, March 18th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Washington County Expo.
