CUB BASKETBALL FALLS TO A&M CONSOLIDATED 85-75

It was a rough night in the home gym on Friday for the Brenham Cub Basketball Team as they lost to the A&M Consolidated Tigers 85-75.

The Tigers jumped out to an early 16-12 lead in the first quarter. Consol added to the lead with a 20-14 second quarter to take a 36-26 advantage into the locker room.

After a low scoring first half, both teams came out with fireworks in the final two quarters. The Tigers won the third quarter 25-24, and then the Cubs finally won a quarter in the fourth by outscoring Consol 25-24.

Roderick Martin led Brenham with 18 points. Chris Guidry and Jayden Herbert added 15 points each, and Dawud Majied chipped in with 13 points.

With the loss, the Cubs drop to 14-10 overall, and 0-3 in district. A&M Consolidated improves to 9-11 overall and 2-1 in district.

Next up for Brenham, they will be on the road at Bryan Rudder Tuesday night beginning at 6:30pm.
