LADY PANTHERS EARN A ROAD WIN OVER BREMOND
The Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team stayed unbeaten in District 26-2A with a 44-26 win over the Bremond Lady Tigers on Friday night.
Burton jumped out to an early 15-4 lead in the first quarter. Bremond bounced back by outscoring the Lady Panthers 11-10 in the second quarter. However, Burton still led 25-15 at halftime.
The second half started with both teams playing to a 7-7 stalemate in the third quarter.
The Lady Panthers put the game away in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Lady Tigers 12-4.
Harper Hodde led Burton with 13 points and eight steals. Lexi Broesche added 10 points, four rebounds, six steals, and four assists.
With the win, the Lady Panthers are now 22-4 on the season and 4-0 in district.
Next up, they will travel to Mumford on Tuesday night for a 6:15pm game.
