The Round Top Family Library has appointed Katey Crowley to be their new Executive Director.

According to the RTFL, Crowley brings more than 21 years of experience in public education and educational leadership.

She will serve in a part-time capacity through the end of May while completing her current full-time role with the La Grange Independent School District. Crowley is then scheduled to transition into the full-time Executive Director position in June.

Throughout her career, Crowley has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, most notably as a Reading and Instructional Specialist.

She has led campus and district-wide literacy initiatives, professional development, program design, and data-driven instructional planning.

Her background also includes experience as a certified dyslexia teacher, reading and math interventionist, instructional coach, and classroom teacher.

A resident of Fayette County, Crowley has strong ties to the local community. Her children attend local schools, her husband serves as a first responder in the county, and her family has participated in and enjoyed the services and programs offered at Round Top Family Library for many years.

Crowley said the RTFL plays a vital role in the community by fostering education, connection, and lifelong learning.

She added that she looks forward to building strong relationships, supporting existing programs, and helping the library continue to grow.
