BURTON BASKETBALL DROPS DISTRICT GAME ON THE ROAD TO MUMFORD

The Mumford Mustang Basketball Team continued their dominance of District 26-2A with a 59-36 victory over the Burton Panthers last (Tuesday) night.

Mumford took control early with a 17-6 lead in the first quarter. They would also outscore Burton 15-8 in the second quarter to go into the locker room at halftime with a 32-14 lead.

Burton played the Mustangs closer in the second half, but Mumford still outscored them 11-9 in the third quarter, and 16-13 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

With the loss, the Panthers drop to 9-7 overall and 1-3 in district.

Next up, they will be at home on Friday for a 7:30pm game against Somerville.
