The Austin County Sheriff’s Office recently received the donation of a new trailer from a local family.

The trailer was provided by Dan and Linda White and their daughter, Elizabeth, of D&L Farms in Cat Spring.

The trailer will be utilized for multiple critical functions, including support at crime scenes and law enforcement callouts, serving as a command and operational space for hostage negotiators, and providing deputies and first responders with relief from the Texas heat during extended operations.

The trailer will also be used at community outreach events to strengthen engagement and build relationships with the public.

Sheriff Jack Brandes called the donation, “a true investment in public safety, officer wellness, and community trust.”

He added, “The generosity shown by the White family and D & L Farms will benefit Austin County for many years to come.”

Brandes noted that the donation of the trailer will help to improve response efficiency, while supporting deputies during demanding situations.
