TWO LEE COUNTY RESIDENTS TO BE INDUCTED INTO TEXAS RODEO COWBOY HALL OF FAME

The Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame will be holding their 50th Annual Induction Ceremony in April, and two Lee County residents will be a part of it.

Tammy Fischer of Ledbetter and Lanham Mangold of Giddings are among this year’s inductees.

Tammy Fischer (Rodeo Cowboy HOF)

Fischer was a professional barrel racer that qualified for the National Finals Rodeo seven times from 2001-2018.

She also won the Barrel Futurity Association’s World Championship in 1999, the Rodeo Houston Championship in 2006, and the Calgary Stampede Championship in 2009.

At the NFR in 2002, Fischer won five out of ten rounds, and set an arena record with a 13.83 second round.

She currently operates Tammy Fischer Barrel Horses, which is a horse training facility for both people and equines.

Lanham Mangold
(Rodeo Cowboy HOF)

Mangold was a professional calf roper, who was the Intercollegiate Champion while in college at Southwest Texas in San Marcos.

He later made the National Finals Rodeo in 1991 and 1992.

Mangold later started the U.S. Calf Ropers Association, which held the biggest calf roping events in the country from 1998-2012.

He currently owns L&M Cattle, which supplies roping cattle to large rodeos such as Houston, San Antonio, and Cheyenne.

The Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame Induction Festivities are being held April 24-26 at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
