LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL DEFEATS SNOOK 76-29
After getting Tuesday off due to the bye, the Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team cruised to a 76-29 win over the Snook Lady Blue Jays on Friday night at the Burton High School Gym.
Burton jumped out to the early lead by winning the first quarter 18-13. That would be the closest of any of the four periods.
In the second quarter, the Lady Panthers dominated the Lady Blue Jays 20-5. That gave Burton a 38-18 lead at halftime.
The momentum continued in the second half as the Lady Panthers outscored Snook 16-9 in the third quarter, and 22-2 in the fourth quarter.

Mya Rodriguez: 17 points, six rebounds, one steal, two assists, and one block

With the win, Burton is now 24-5 on the season, and 6-1 in district. Next up, the Lady Panthers will travel to Hearne on Tuesday at 6:15pm.
