CUB SOCCER PICKS UP DISTRICT WIN OVER MONTGOMERY
In front of their hometown fans, the Brenham Cub Soccer Team came through with a 2-1 victory over the Montgomery Bears last (Wednesday) night at Cub Stadium.
It was Brenham's first district home match of the season. They were supposed to play on Tuesday night, but it got pushed back an extra day due to the winter weather earlier in the week.
Isaac Garcia scored both goals for the Cubs, one of which came off of an assist from Chris Calix.
The win improves Brenham to 4-6 overall, and 1-1 in district.
Meanwhile, the JV won their game also. They beat Montgomery 1-0.
The Cubs will next be at Huntsville on Friday. The JV play at 5pm, while the Varsity plays at 7pm.
