LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL CRUSHES HEARNE ON THE ROAD
The Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team kept right on winning last (Wednesday) night as they beat Hearne on the road 73-25.
Burton dominated both halves of the game. The Lady Panthers outscored Hearne 17-8 in the first quarter and 14-3 in the second quarter. That gave them a halftime advantage of 31-11.
In the second half, Burton outscored the Lady Eagles 20-9 in the third quarter, and 22-5 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Lexi Broesche led the Lady Panthers with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and six steals. Harper Hodde finished with 15 points, 5 steals, 4 assists, and 4 blocks.
With the win, Burton is now 25-5 overall and 7-1 in district.
They are next scheduled to host Iola on Friday at 6:15pm at the Burton High School Gym.
