BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR FAMILY ASSAULT, MARIJUANA POSSESSION

  

Brenham police on Monday arrested one person on a charge of family assault and another for possession of marijuana.

Approaching 10 a.m., Officer LeDarion Jenkins responded to the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street in reference to a disturbance.  After investigation, 18-year-old Carl Humphries of Houston was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Assault Family Violence.

Around 8:30 p.m., Officer Rosa Salinas conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of FM 389 for a traffic infraction.  After police conducted a probable cause search, 42-year-old Brandon Lynn Weige of Industry was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana 4oz. – 5lbs.  Weige was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking without incident.
