PANTHER BASKETBALL GETS A HOME WIN OVER BREMOND

The Burton Panther Basketball Team kept their playoff hopes alive with a 39-34 victory over the Bremond Tigers.

Burton won a low scoring first quarter 6-5, and later increased their lead with a 15-6 second quarter. That gave the Panthers a 21-11 halftime lead.

Bremond started off hot in the second half and went on to win the third quarter 14-8, which trimmed the Burton advantage down to four points, 29-25.

The Panthers went on to outscore the Tigers 10-9 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Eli Simank and Kayden Patterson led the Panthers with 13 points each.

With three games left, Burton is currently sitting in third place. They are one game ahead of Iola and Sook, who are tied for fourth.

Coming up next, the Panthers will be hosting Mumford on Friday night at the Burton High School beginning at 7:30pm.
