Troop Coordinator Yvonne Steinbach says the girls poured care and effort into each blanket, knowing they all would bring comfort to someone in need.  By the end of Friday, they had donated over 20 blankets, with another handful being finished at home.

Faith Mission Executive Director Rev. Randy Wells spoke to the girls and helped them see the faces and stories behind their service.  He shared with them about what Faith Mission does, who it serves, and how these blankets will be used.

Steinbach says the Troop intentionally chose no-sew blankets as a way to teach the girls how meaningful a simple blanket can be, adding that many ministries have quilting guilds who donate blankets to missions, veterans, pregnancy centers and neighbors in need.

Steinbach says, “Tonight was about more than blankets. It was about raising little girls to become women who understand the value of a warm, handmade gift — and the love, prayer, and service knotted into every one.”

Registration for the American Heritage Girls will open in July for the fall.  Parents who are interested can visit https://americanheritagegirls.org
