SHERIFF’S OFFICE BOOKS IN TWO FOR FAMILY ASSAULT

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made two assault arrests on Sunday.

Just shy of 7:45 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2600 block of FM 2935, in which the victim alleged she had been assaulted by her spouse.  After additional investigation, 38-year-old Dwayne Bernard Stegent Jr. of Brenham was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.

Close to 10:30 p.m., Deputy Matthew Brown responded to the 5800 block of FM 50 in reference to a disturbance.  The caller stated that a female had arrived at their residence with blood on her face and hands.  Upon making contact with the female, she claimed her boyfriend had assaulted her and then left.  The suspect was apprehended after the sheriff’s office reported observing him drive by the victim’s location during the investigation.  29-year-old Jordan Alexander Espinoza of Baytown was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
