CUB BASKETBALL WINNING STREAK SNAPPED BY LAKE CREEK 49-44
The Brenham Cub Basketball Team (21-11) saw their seven-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night at the hands of the Lake Creek Lions 49-44.
Lake Creek gained a measure of revenge after losing to the Cubs on January 16 in Brenham.
Dawud Majied led the Cubs with 11 points. Jayden Hebert finished with 10 points. Tre'lyn Kelly and Roderick Martin chipped in with seven points each.
Lake Creek is currently in first place at 8-2, while Huntsville is in second with a 7-3 record. Brenham and A&M Consolidated are tied for third at 7-4.
Brenham wraps up the regular season on Friday at College Station, and then will be off on Tuesday, February 17, for a bye. College Station has a bye on Friday, and will wrap up their regular season on Tuesday, February 17, against Rudder.
