BRENHAM-WEISS SOFTBALL GAME CANCELLED

The Brenham Cubettes final game of the day at the Leadoff Classic has been canceled. The game against Pflugerville Weiss was supposed to start at 7pm tonight (Friday).

During the previous game at Alumni Field between Brenham and San Marcos, two of the light poles went out. They did finish the game with the Cubettes winning 13-0. However, there were noticeable dark spots on the field.

The decision was made to move the last game out to Clayton Field at Hohlt Park. However, upon arrival, it was noticed that the players in the current game between San Antonio Brennan and Pflugerville Weiss were slipping around in a wet outfield.

After seeing that, Head Coach Katie Roberts, on the side caution, decided to cancel the final game.

The Cubettes are tentatively scheduled for one more game tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am at Alumni Field. Weather permitting, KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 10:35am.
