HOUSTON MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
A Houston man was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.
At 6:45 p.m., Sergeant Fay Janes-Busse initiated a traffic stop at Highway 36 North and Wauls Legion Road for a defective headlamp.
Upon making contact with the driver, the sheriff’s office detected a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Samer Ghaleb Taha, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
