SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS, THEFT, BURGLARY
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported arrests on Friday and Saturday for charges including traffic offenses, a theft warrant and burglary.
Shortly after 6:45 a.m. Friday, Deputy Christopher Holmes initiated a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Highway 36 for a defective head lamp. The sheriff’s office says the driver was found to have active warrants and was taken into custody. 31-year-old Tavia Deniese Parker of Bellville was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with four counts of No Driver’s License and two counts of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
A few minutes past 7:15 p.m., Deputy Jacob Faske responded to a vehicular accident with a deer in the 5800 block of Longpoint Road. According to the sheriff’s office, one of the passengers was found to have an active warrant. 34-year-old Glenn Doyle Breaux of Anacoco, Louisiana was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Theft of Property $100 - $750.
Close to 5:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 13600 block of Highway 105. Deputies were advised that there was a male subject on location, reportedly breaking and throwing things. The victim claimed that the suspect became angry when the victim refused to give him the spare keys to his mother’s vehicle. According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect left after damaging a side door, but then returned with a bat and argued more about the keys. After further investigation, 41-year-old Donald Kirk Wilson II of Washington was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail. Wilson has been charged with Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport and Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Assault.
