EARLY VOTING TOPS 1,000 IN TWO DAYS

Early voting took little time to surpass 1,000 total voters in Washington County.

According to Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, Wednesday drew 535 voters, including 438 Republicans and 97 Democrats.

After the first two days of early voting, the county has seen 1,060 participants, made up of 865 Republicans and 195 Democrats.

In comparison to the last gubernatorial election in 2022, that year had 580 early voters through the first two days of voting, and it took four days to go over the 1,000 mark, tallying 1,177 through that time.

Early voting at the Washington County Courthouse Annex will be available through February 27th.  The annex is open today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and next Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
