BLINN BOARD TO CONSIDER NEW AI DEGREES

The Blinn Board of Trustees will vote on two degree programs when it meets on Tuesday.

The board will consider approving new Associate of Applied Science degrees in Artificial Intelligence and in Artificial Intelligence in Business.

The programs will focus on practical applications of AI, data analysis and automation tools.

Other items for the board on Tuesday will be to authorize administrators to negotiate contracts for work on the Brenham Campus, including flooring contractor services to replace the floor at Wheeler Hall and mechanical controls contractor services for automation system upgrades in the Academic Building.

There will also be contract considerations for mechanical contractor services related to air handler unit replacement at Building D on the Bryan Campus and for audiovisual equipment at the Waller Workforce and Technical Education Complex.

During monthly reports, trustees will hear updates on fall 2025 graduation, enrollment for the winter 2025 minimester, preliminary enrollment and housing for the spring 2026 semester, and the issuance and sale of series 2026 combined fee revenue bonds.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the third-floor board room of the Brenham Campus Administration Building.  The meeting will be livestreamed on the Blinn College YouTube channel.
