CHAPPELL HILL VFD TO HOST COOK-OFF FUNDRAISER MAY 8-9; SPONSORS SOUGHT
The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department is getting ready for its 22nd Annual Barbecue Cook-off and Rib Shootout.
The two-day fundraiser will take place at the Washington County Expo in Brenham on Friday and Saturday, May 8th and 9th.
Participating teams will move in on Friday before Saturday’s festivities, which will include the barbecue judging and silent and live auctions. The silent auction will shut down at 4:30 p.m., while the live auction will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are also being sold for a prize drawing for $20 each.
Admission for the public is free.
Multiple sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and businesses, ranging from $200 to $1,000. Sponsors looking to have their name listed on drawing tickets must reach out by March 1st at 5 p.m., while the final deadline to become a sponsor is April 28th at noon.
All proceeds from the event will support the fire department in acquiring fire and rescue equipment, completing training and certification programs, performing vehicle and apparatus maintenance, ensuring emergency response readiness and coordinating community safety initiatives.
