ONE INJURED AFTER ROLLOVER ON HIGHWAY 290 NEAR BURTON
One person was transported after a rollover accident Sunday morning on Highway 290, near Burton.
Around 11:15 a.m., Brenham and Burton firefighters were dispatched to Highway 290 West and Three Oaks Lane for a report of a transportation incident with entrapment. EMS arrived on scene and found no one entrapped.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 2019 Chevy Silverado was headed westbound on Highway 290 when it failed to maintain a single lane, ran off the road and struck a tree. The vehicle then went down the embankment and rolled over.
The driver, 75-year-old Larry Reichle of Giddings, was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station for suspected minor injuries. No one else was in the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved.
