BRENHAM PD MAKES WARRANT ARRESTS ON THEFT, INJURY CHARGES
Brenham police arrested two people on Monday on warrants.
At 6 p.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson conducted an investigative stop in the 2100 block of Tison Street. The driver, 60-year-old Deborah Yankowski of Brenham, was taken into custody for two warrants out of Washington County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace, each for Theft of Property $100 - $750, and one Brenham Municipal Court warrant for Display/Expired Registration. Yankowski was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked for her warrants.
Approaching 9:30 p.m., Officer Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation near the intersection of Highway 36 North and West Blue Bell Road. During the investigation, police say 54-year-old Tyrone Peterson of Brenham was found to have an active warrant out of Washington County for Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled Individual with Intent to Cause Serious Bodily Injury/Mental Impairment. Peterson was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
