SILSBEE ROUGHS UP LADY PANTHER SOFTBALL AT FRANKLIN TOURNAMENT

The Burton Lady Panther Softball Team had a tough outing on the opening day of the Franklin Tournament as they lost to the Silsbee Lady Tigers 18-1.

The game last only three and a half innings. Silsbee scored five runs in the first, eight runs in the second, and five runs in the third.

Burton's lone run came in the top of the third inning when Paige Fritsch singled home Amaya Williams.

The Lady Panthers managed only four hits in the game, all of them singles. (Williams, Fritsch, Laci Broesche, and Natalie Hodde)

Broesche took the loss in the circle.

The tournament continues today (Friday) with Burton taking on Como-Pinkton and the Waco Midway JV.
