BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR EVASION, ASSAULT, TRAFFIC WARRANTS
Brenham police reported three arrests over the weekend on charges including traffic warrants, evasion and assault.
At 10 a.m. Friday, Sergeant Jose Perez conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Stone Hill Drive. Police say the driver, 34-year-old Tara Gandy of Brenham, showed to have four active warrants out of Brenham Municipal Court, including three for No Driver’s License and one for Failure to Yield Right of Way. Gandy was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
A few minutes after 6 a.m. Saturday, Officer Brayten Rolling was patrolling the intersection of Highway 36 North and North Dixie Street when he reported observing a vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. Officer Rolling attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, but police say the vehicle continued to flee. The vehicle was located soon after in the 400 block of East Sayles Street. The driver, identified as 17-year-old Mylo James Reeves of Brenham, was taken into custody for Evading Arrest/Detention with a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving. Reeves was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Nearing 11:15 p.m., Corporal Grayson Marburger and Officers Eric Crosby, Mateo Guillen and Trinten Rolling responded to the 1000 block of Hudson Street regarding a disturbance. 57-year-old Christopher Hall of Brenham was taken into custody without incident and booked in at the Washington County Jail for Assault Family Violence.
