Just before 3:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a gas odor/leak at South Chappell Hill Street and Pecan Street, where they found a contractor had hit a gas line. Units stood by until the leak was capped off.
Shortly before 8:45 p.m., members of the Brenham Fire Department and Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department went out to a crash with entrapment on FM 1155 at Copelyn Springs Road. The Chappell Hill department reports the accident was a single-vehicle rollover, and all occupants were out of the vehicle. Chappell Hill units assisted with traffic control and scene lighting, and Brenham’s response was cancelled.
The Brenham Fire Department was also called out for two fire alarms at Del Sol Food Company, 3015 South Blue Bell Road, one a few minutes after 1:15 p.m. and the other around 5:30 p.m. Both alarms were determined to be false.
