SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE, DRIVING WITH INVALID LICENSE

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests between Monday and Tuesday on charges including driving a stolen vehicle and driving with an invalid license.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. Monday, Corporal Albert Vasquez conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the 3400 block of Highway 36 North.  The driver, 53-year-old Magdaleno Garcia Espinoza of Brenham, was stated to have a suspended driver’s license.  Espinoza was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.

Just past 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sergeant Fay Janes-Busse was dispatched to the 9500 block of Longpoint Road in reference to a stolen vehicle.  The victim stated that his Dodge pickup had been taken without his permission and was headed towards Burleson County.  The vehicle was located and the driver was placed into custody.  49-year-old Amber Danae Sowders of Pickton was taken to the Washington County Jail and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
