PLANNORTH TO HOST FIRST-EVER LOCAL FEST MARCH 21 AT WASHINGTON CO. EXPO

PlanNorth Architectural Co. is bringing Washington County together for a big celebration.

The first-ever Local Fest will be held on Saturday, March 21st at the Washington County Expo.  Gates open at 6 p.m. for music, food and family-friendly fun.

PlanNorth Principal Architect Katie Burch, speaking during this week’s KWHI Community Corner, said Local Fest was created as a way to mark PlanNorth’s 15-year anniversary and do something special for those who have supported the firm and the community.

Performances will include Brenham’s own Ryann Elise at 6 p.m., Kody West at 8 p.m. and headliner Easton Corbin at 10 p.m.

There will also be a pitch tournament in the Expo’s country creations building beginning at 4 p.m., and food vendors will be available.  Entry for the tournament is $10 per individual or $20 per team.

Burch said proceeds from the event will go toward The Local Fund, a new nonprofit organization whose mission is to “create new seats at the table” by investing in programs and initiatives that open doors for more community members.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased by going to PlanNorth’s office in downtown Brenham at 107 South Baylor Street, visiting https://eventbrite.com or scanning the QR code on the event flyer.  Entry for children 10 and under is free.

To sign up for the pitch tournament, register as a vendor or to volunteer, email carlie@plannorth.com.
