BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to five calls during the day on Friday.

The first call came in just after 11:30am at the 2700 Block of Wood Ridge Boulevard. BFD units arrived on location to find a three-vehicle accident with no injuries. Firefighters checked for fluids and found nothing leaking, so they returned to service after the vehicles were removed from the roadway.

The next call came in just before 1pm. Brenham FD Units were dispatched to the 2000 Block of Old Chappell Hill Road for a report of a grassfire. Firefighters found a brush pile smoking, so they extinguished it and returned to service.

Just before 2:30pm, the Brenham Fire Department and the City of Brenham Gas Department were sent to the 1500 Block of Chappell Hill Steet. A small gas leak was found at the meter. The gas department repaired the leak, and everyone returned to service.

The next call came in at 9:40pm at the 300 Block of West Chauncy Street for a transportation incident. A BFD unit arrived at the location to find a single vehicle accident with no one injured. BFD members found no fluids leaking and returned to service after the vehicles were removed from the roadway.

The final call came in just before midnight at the intersection of Highway 36 South and FM 109. Firefighters arrived to find a three-vehicle accident with injuries. BFD members helped EMS and checked for fluids leaking. No fluids were leaking, so they returned to service after the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
