BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF WARRANT
Brenham police reported arrests between Tuesday and early this (Wednesday) morning for narcotics possession and a criminal mischief warrant.
Just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, Officer Rosa Salinas initiated a warrant service in the 1700 block of West Main Street. 46-year-old Latatum Renee Cooper of Brenham was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail for Criminal Mischief $2,500 - $30,000.
Approaching 7:45 p.m., Officer LeDarion Jenkins initiated a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 36 North for no front license plate. During the stop, police reportedly observed narcotics in plain view inside the vehicle, establishing probable cause to conduct a search. Police say the driver was found to be in possession of THC gummies. 31-year-old Roman Jacob Villalpondo of Bryan was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams.
Around 2:15 a.m. today, K-9 Sergeant Jimmy Ja initiated a traffic stop near the 1300 block of West Main Street. According to police, investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of narcotics. 19-year-old Robert Kurzy of Houston was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams, and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. Kurzy was transported to the Washington County Jail and released to jail staff.
